Pioneer HT amp

Hey guys, I'm in the market for a new amp. I'm considering the Pioneer SC-1222K. Anyone have hands on with this model? I appreciate everyone's input pro's & con's. Should I steer clear? Any other similar brands? Which do you guys favor more for a 7.2 setup?

I have its close cousin the SC-61 elite, quite happy with it. It has a little more power than the 1222 and a 12v trigger the 1222 doesn't, plus 1 year longer warranty. If you can live without those things, best price I see right now is $799 for the SC-61 at Amazon, and Newegg has the 1222 on for $499 counting the $50 promo that ends April 8. Great deal if you ask me.

I just bought SC-65 from Magnolia store. I still have to test it since I just got it yeasterday, but I see a lot of people recommending sc series from pio.

Just got the Pioneer SC-1222-K a few weeks ago. This is my 1st experience going "all HDMI" and I love it. This AVR is very powerful and drives my Polk system with ease (SDA-2B fronts, CS350-LS center and FXi3 surrounds). The new D3 amplifier technology sounds fantastic to me. The MCACC software did exactly what I normally do for my room.

Perfect budget AVR in my opinion.

Thank you guys for all the input! I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the SC-1222. Tomorrow is the last sale day for the promo code at newegg. I think for the price combined with free shipping it's a great deal! I've read the reviews, and considered all of the input from you fellow CP members and decided to go with it.
Besides, it's time for a new amp after 13yrs with my old sony amp. Which I'm now moving to the bedroom, my wife wants a simple surround set-up in there. Besides we like to watch movies late at night after the baby falls asleep, then we fall asleep.
The main HT area is out in the living room.

Hello Tornado Red, Thank you! I went ahead and purchased the amp this afternoon, I should have it by this Thursday!
