If anyone is looking for a nice set of surround speakers for the computer, I would suggest the Cambridge SoundWorks FourPointSurround FPS 2000 Digital speakers. I got mine for the best price -- free.

While they don't have the sound of my Polks, they are _very_ listenable. System consists of 4 2" drivers and a 5 1/4" powered sub. Sub has bass control, and the system has a wired remote, giving you volume, power, and front/rear bias controls. You can hook it directly to a Creative SB Live! with the digital DIN cable, or use independent front/rear 1/8" jack inputs.

Sound is very impressive for the size. My dad, who does not spend much time listening to my system directly (but, rather, indirectly), couldn't tell the difference when I had them or the Polks cranked. Biggest thing is that the sub cannot quite hit the low notes like my Polks can. However, it really can hold its own. For normal classic rock listening, it can really thump right along. The only time you notice more missing is in more contemporary music. They did manage to belt out some Crystal Method rather well, though.

Just thought I'd give people a heads up on this system..... I'm impressed. Impressed enough that they've taken over as my primary listening system.
Ludicrous gibs!
