Looking for nice set of cans and preferably a tubed amp. My limit is appx. $200 but will go up for the right deal. The cans must be over the ear and have a removable cord since I'm going to hit up ALL212 to upgrade it for me. If he doesn't I'll keep dropping by and drinking all his beer.

I assume you're looking to get "both" used for that price?
If not, this amp has been getting some nice reviews. I'm considering it myself, but you'd probably have to roll some tubes. This, is of course the "low end". I'm sure the real H-phone guys will chime in here.

There are a lot of decent cans (new "$200-350--probably 100-150 used?) that do "not" have removable cords, though?

Yeah that's each. Need to qui drinking and posting. I'll probably start with just the phones and go from there.

Going to throw out the Beyerdynamic DT-770's and the Audio Technica ATH-50s. Both solid performers in the 150 dollar range.
Neither has a removeable cord though. Look at Ultrasone models for that."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963)
