I fell in love with this album the first time I heard it. One of the greatest pieces of psychedelic pop I had never heard until it was finally remastered and released on CD in 2008 by Sundazed. And then I just kind of stumbled across it accidentally. Excellent remastering as usual from Sundazed.
The year was 1969 and the times were definitely a changin'. American music was evolving from the psychedelic rock and folk music of the late 60s in several different new directions, which was probably a contributing factor for this record being as overlooked as it was.
So talented these two sisters were. The original album entitled "Genesis" consisted I believe of 8 tracks of all-original material written by the sisters. Wendy was 17 and Bonnie only 13 years old when this album was recorded. Every song is good yet this album remained relatively unknown for almost 40 years.
The two never recorded another album together again after Genesis and they just drifted off into obscurity.
