I still remember the first time I heard it on the radio.

Awesome song and artist! Back in my younger days, playing in rock/metal bands. This was a song we covered from time to time. I was always amazed how many people, young people, that knew this song.

I wonder why Sun Records had it on their wall, it was An RCA release.

Beats me. They had numerous ones hanging on the wall in plastic sleeves marked starting at $70 and going up.
But now that you say it perhaps it was 'I walk the line' versus ring of fire. I didn't take notes just the obligatory tourist photos.
Anyways it was a fun visit as I had never set foot in Tennessee.

After a bit of research, I stand corrected, it was a Colombia release. My memory is fading with age !!!!!!!

Umm - the term "ring of fire" is applied to the tectonic plate boundaries of the Pacific ocean; hotspots for volcanoes and earthquakes. Is that what you mean? (I'm guessing "no")

According to Johnny's first wife, it was a female anatomical part, which of course if denied by other family members
