I finished buying all my speakers and they are all hooked up now. I am new at the HT and thought I was impressed with the sound watching a movie in 5.1 but little did I know how good it would sound till I stuck in Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon (SACD). DAMN....I like it!!! I have to find out why they sub isnt working but reading here has helped me so far.

    Bob welcome to our forum.

what are you trying to say about your sub not playing?

    SACD is the BOMB!!!!

Give some details about your sub and we'll figure it out. The Doc is always lurking.

    Nice gear.

Make sure you have your subwoofer set to "yes" in the setup menu.

Do you use the subwoofer pre-out?

Do you use the multi-channel inputs on the AVR from the multi-channel outputs from the 999ES? Or just the analog outputs on the 999ES?

I believe you have a button called "auto-dec" on the panel, or behind it, use that to automatically decode what speakers are active. CD, non-5.1, should display three squares on the display...one marked "L"...."R"...and "SW".

Let us know some more inoformation and we can get your sub working....I am simply starting from the front end.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Welcome Bob....

You're one of the first to post about these new speakers. Please follow up with more of a review when you can. What else did you consider?
    More later,
