Link isn't working for me. Funny, I read an interview with DLR recently where he said Michael Anthony should be brought back. Bet that peed in Eddie's Cherrios....

You know I'am a big DLR fan but the perfect replacement for Dave would Be that Mark Storace the lead singer for Krokus, should Dave start acting up again. I never heard of Steel Panther.

The only Krokus album worth having is head hunter.. And I politely disagree with you I just don't see that being a good fit..

You are right I was thinking Bon Scott the replacement for AC/DC Mark Storace or that signer from Rhino Bucket would be a good replacement for Brian Johnson as those guys sound more like Bon Scott. So this guy from Steel Panther sounds like DLR does he? My apologies must be the left over black and tans left over from St Paddys day or perhaps the chews!

Van Halen was one of my favorite bands. I saw them open up for Black Sabbath in 1978 and I wore out their first album. However, after that they didnt really do much for me. To me their current incarnation is unlistenable.
I got static in my head

I saw them last year in Madison Square Garden, on the earlier part of their tour. Dave's voice is not the same, but they were still great. Preferred that over any of the Van Hagar stuff. It was great to see Dave back in action again. Essie's son plays a good bass, but still would prefer to see Michael Anthony back and have the original lineup again.
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

Yeah, those two don't get along real well.....

After VH tossed Sammy out of the band, Sammy and Dave actually tried to go on tour together. It didn't work out very well.

ya know ..... saw vH in 79 at the texas jam ....they were very good ... I think the headiner was blue oyster cult ..... i seem to remember a drummer wearing a gorilla mask

VH played in the heat of the afternoon ...cotton bowl heat ..ya .... david lee actually directed the sound guys in between songs cause he didn't like the sound . turn this up and turn this down .. eddy on the other hand in one song would get a little running start & do a flying kick into one set of speakers and got the speakers rockin back and forth ...we could see the stage hands behind the speaks making sure they didn't rock to far ........ they had alot of energy as a band

    How about this kid?

Way cool ! That kid really appears to be enjoying himself and is really into what he's doing, no Suzuki-school-rote-repeat-note-playback going on there.

Anybody remember David Lee Roth's appearance on "Letterman" ? The one where he had his hair cut short and looked ..... different ?
