Hey guys,
I got few Acustic Tiles from my local movie theater (United Artist, One of the managers is selling the extra ones he has left) Most of them are in good condition, some has tiny rips at the corner edge of the frame but you can hardly see it. These are the things that you see hanging on the wall of a movie house. I will post some pictures later today.
I want to know how many are interested because I am going back there and buy the rest. The size is 3ft by 3ft with an inch and a half thick. The color is red. I am selling them in group of 4 for $150.00(retail $160.00 ea.) shipped. I will include the two hangers for each tile. Please stand by for the photos later tonight. I may not be available for questions until 8pm pacific time but post your questions or offer anyways. I am very flexible for the club forum members in terms of price and shipping (members must atleast be 2 months old in the forum).
This is my first time selling in the forum but please check with criveajr for previous transactions.

Very interesting. Are they fabric stretched over a wood frame, foam or what. Do they seem to absorb the sound? How were they hanging? From the ceiling free to move around from cables or what? Probably not for me but I have a friend to show them to.

Yes they are fabric streched over a wood frame. I am not sure about the stuffing at the back frame, some kind of fiverglass? I think I am going to keep some of these tiles, I noticed some improvements to the sound quality. It seems that the sound is more tighter smoother than it used to be. I got the original hangers is drilled onto the wall and slide the metal in between the wood (located in the middle of the frame) and fiverglass. I noticed that the local theaters in my area, placed the surround speakers over the tiles and drilled through the wall. I am not much of an expert when it comes to Acustics, but I have been wanting to know how it could improve the sound quality of my HT. I hope some one in this forum can give us some detailed info about these.HT:
