Need Recommendations On Setup

Looking for ideas for a good 5.1 or 7.1 receiver with airplay and all the rest of the system to go with it. My basement is in the pocess of being renovated and in need of decent sound. I'm planning a budget of between 1000 to 1500 dollars. The room is approx. 20 x 13 and 7' high. I've been lookin at a denon 1713 0r 1913 but not set on it. As for the speakers, I have no clue whatsoever on how to match them or which would sound good with the other. I plan on using it for both music and movies. I'll probably pick them up online if I can get some decent prices. The closest Bestbuy or Future Shop is 5 hours a way and have little to offer only high prices for late model equipment.

You'll get lots of great advice about equipment from the folks on here I'm sure. I'd just like to make a friendly reminder that if you're renovating your basement, to at least attempt to future proof it if you can. Run dedicated 12/2 wire with 20 amp breakers if possible, run CAT 5 cables and some nice speaker wire in the walls/ceiling (12-14 gauge). Plan for 7.1 or even 9.2 at some point, even if your modest budget doesn't allow for that right now. This can be so easy to do now, so frustrating to do later. Good luck creating your new system!

You can get some great speakers at great prices on Polk's direct eBay site - http://stores.ebay.com/Polk-Audio-Direct. Good luck and keep an eye on your wallet - while you still can.
