Too much subwoofer'age.. need to part with either SVS or HSU

I have:

SVS PB12-PLUS/2
HSU VTF-15H

I had intended to use the HSU in a newly configured HT, but it never got off the ground. I haven't even opened the box. Still sealed from when I bought it. Plenty of transferable warranty left.

I've had the SVS for a while in a second room, and thought I'd offer it up as a "Choose Your Own Sub" adventure.

I will sell one and keep one. YOU will decide which one stays and which one goes.

HSU - $900 (brand spanking new)
SVS - $750 (butt spanking loud)

Both are formidable. Both are also (unfortunately) local cash pickup ONLY in Auburn, WA. I'm too tired of shipping stuff. And no, not going to change my mind.

Let me know if you're in the area and interested.

I'd love to add that PB12 Plus/2 to the other side of my couch and run a pair of them. Good thing you're a couple states north of me or I'd be scrounging for cash!

BTW, what's the finish on the SVS?

    GLWTS!

It's just the black industrial-type finish. Not as purdy as veneer, but durable as heck. Doubles nicely as an end table (with coasters of course).

I'd love to snatch up the SVS, always drooled over the PB12/2's. Unfortunately the wife thinks my 25-31PC+ is too big and loud. If she only knew....

Ken, drape a blanket over it. She won't even know it's there.

I know the HSU stuff is top shelf and I can tell you the finish on that SVS is virtually indestructible. I've had mine for quite a few years and that finish is just as industrial as it was the day it arrived. No age visible on it!

Can't go wrong with either, Good luck with your sale!! Here's mine.

Well, dang - came back to this thread (saw it last week) since I was toying with the idea of adding the SVS to my system. But I guess you just saved me some $$... Which has been put into a small media room upgrade anyway.

Last I looked there were 3 SVS cylinders on Seattle CL. I emailed the sellers on 2 of them and the clowns won't get back to me....

    Why no pics?

A pic of the Hsu would just be of a cardboard box. Not all that interesting. The SVS looks exactly like this one:

    IMG_3877-1.jpg

I could take one, I suppose.. but since I'm selling local, just c'mon over. Oh, and bring cash.
