Shuguang Black Treasure CV-181-V (6sn7 equivalent)

I have a pair of Black Treasures that I bought from Grant Fidelity for my Rogue 99 super magnum, but they dont fit under the lid (bottle is too tall) So they are available for $125 shipped. They are premium tubes and come in the premium boxed case.

    More specifically, these tubes were purchased a while back as back-ups to the Black Treasures on my Wright WLA 12 A amp. I loved the smooth sound of these tubes so much, I had to get a pair of back-ups (these)

    My brother has the Wright Amp now and I bought a Rogue 99S.M. because it uses the 6sn7 tubes. I intended these tubes for that pre and am very disappointed that they don't fit under the cover. Therefore, my loss/your gain kinda thing!

    My KT120's don't fit under the cover either.So i don't use the cover.
    Honestly the amp could look like an old apple crate as long as the performance is there.
    Besides i like the look sans cover.
    Too bad i don't have a use for these tubes i hear they are pretty nice.

    Was thinking of trying 120's in my Cronus Magnum. It has the kt90's in it now. Would it be worth it to try the 120's in my Cronus?

    I would call Nick or mark at Rogue but i would bet they would tell you to jump on it.I bought mine from them.

    In that case, I may decide to keep them. I was worried about dust upsetting the electronics. Brgman, are you not concerned with dust?

    I found a powered dust can online some time ago and it really is sweet.If you blow off the equipment every couple of days it keeps them nice.It's datavac duster and also comes with about 6 or 8 neat little attachments for different jobs.
    Besides the cover on mine is like a giant sieve anyway for airflow and cooling so it's going to get dust anyway.
    Cover off really makes it easier.

    Glad you are keeping them.Like i said,performance over cosmetics for me.
    Besides those tubes look too nice to cover up.
    I also have a couple of those deck covers Ern dog posted.they are great when i will be away or something.They took the dimensions of my pre and i had them make it with no back/rear so the cables stay connected.No fuss no muss.
