Another One for Rush Fans

This slipped right by me, at the time it went over my head...

I stopped by a local music shop yesterday and stumbled across a Geddy Lee solo CD entitled "My Favorite Headache" from back in 2000. I don't know how I missed this one but it is great. Geddy is joined by Ben Mink on guitar and various strings; and Matt Cameron on drums, plus a few others.

The music retains much of the Rush feel but with something a little different. While the opening track "My Favorite Headache" jams, most of the disc is a little more melodic than most Rush music but still jams.

check it out if you get the chance.

I like this one a lot! In fact I will probably listen to it later in honor of you finding it. Beginning of the title track is one of my favorite all time album openings.

I really enjoy this one also. I remember all of the tracks sounding good, but especially enjoyed Grace to Grace. On a related note, Alex Lifeson also put out a solo album a few years before Geddy's called Victor. It was quite good also.

Got it the day it came out, working at perfect and grace to grace are my favorite songs off it. Ben Mink is also from a 3 piece band out of Canada called FM I saw them open for Rush once and saw them open for Heart. Ben has also played on and help produce Hearts last two albums, so if you like this look for FM city of fear good LP.

On another note those of you looking for My Favorite Headace look at your local Menards most have a small bargin DVD and cd bin up front by the cashiers I seen 2 copies of this the other day $5

I have "Victor" too and the Buddy Rich tribute produced by Neil Peart, "Burning for Buddy". I haven't seen the follow up tribute CD.

I really love finding treasures like these at the local shops.

I also have Burning for Buddy Volumes I & II on cd. You can find a lot of the video for both volumes on Youtube. Good stuff!

I'm going to have to look for the FM. Thanks for the "heads-up" on that.
