ok, thanks.
Good point...I will just keep it to one thread. I had started this thread first and then a new one about problem and thought some might not see new posts about problem but you are right...I am even confusing myself, ha, and will keep it to one thread for simplicity and clarity.
I will have to find out where crosssover is in these speakers and how to acces it. It is a single monolithic tower design and I will have to see how to open these things up. It definitely sounds better today than yesterday bit still not 100%.
Thanks again. -

Good news! I think I discovered the culprit. My old vintage Onkyo TX 4500 MK II receiver which I had not used in a little while and dusted off to hook up to the PSB Stratus speakers so I could demo them until I can get my other and better receiver cleaned and set up. I was thinking it perhaps had something do do with the receiver, and not the speaker, because another odd thing happened a short time ago when I pleyed a CD. No sound from the left speaker (the good one). I jiggled the speaker wire and all was ok but it got me thinking about the receiver. So I took the speaker wires off from the A speaker terminals on the back of the receiver and hooked them up to the B terminals. and everything sounds great now. Right woofer, which had problem, now sounds full and lively and full of bass just like the left woofer. Is it posssible that the receiver could have been the cause of the right driver being off? It is hard to belive but it certainly seems like it because I am listening to music right now and it sounds beautiful. Am I crazy to believe the receiver was the problem and not the speaker? Thanks, ZLTFUL and FGTV and all others who responded. It had been a frustrating night and day but hopefully all is well. So far so good! Thanks again for everything!

Awesome. The fact that the tweeter seemed to be working fine in the suspect speaker I did'nt look in the source direction.Enjoy your speakers.

Thanks FTGV. I apprciate it. I am enjoying the speakers. I had never heard of PSB before but, as I am sure you know, they make some great speakers. I am really enjoying the sound of the PSB Stratus - very open, neutral sound, but lively with good bass. It is a very balanced and transparent sound. Fellow Polkies told me to take the plunge and go ahead and buy them and, as usual, the people in this forum gave some great advice. That's what makes this site great - cool people like you and ZLTFUL and the rest of the Polk community sharing their knowledge and passion. Thanks again. I am going back to enjoy some music on the PSBs.

Great news! I too didn't even think it could be the supply source. Nice to see it was a (semi) easily repaired issue.
