Polk monitor 8T's.
I just learned that the glue securing the magnets on the vintage
MW6510's fails and that even minor bumps can freeze up the cone.
I have two with that condition...Is it possiable to relocate the mags
(they are moviable) or am I SOL. Anyone had any luck? thanks for
any and all suggestions..........

Got pics?
You can move them but probably need to break them loose from the basket and re-glue.
are the drivers good and just the magnet out of line or are they not functioning at all?Main Rig-Realistic AM/FM Record player 8 track boasting 4 WPC

On the left..I was able to free the cone by pushing it up from underneath but cannot relocate it back down.
The magnet will move along with the outer silver piece. Can these be taken apart from the basket?...not
much to lose at this point. thank you for the reply......... -
I've repaired a few 6501's by making a jig out of some large PVC pipe, then drilling holes in the PVC to install set screws. I was able to place the jig around the speaker frame/basket and use the set screws to center the doughnut shaped magnet piece around the pole and basket. After a practice run I used some 10-minute epoxy to secure the pieces together. It wasn't a simple repair and took some patience to get the parts perfectly lined up, but my repaired drivers have been working for several years now without issue.
One interesting note - if you install the doughnut shaped magnet piece upside down the polarity indicators on your speaker will no longer be accurate.2 Channel - Polk SDA-2BTL, Carver TFM-35, Peachtree iDAC, Qobuz streamed via Episode Lynk using bubble UPnP server -
On shifted magnets: If you do the test where you push in on the passive radiator and all of the drivers move out and stay out for a few moments does that mean your magnets have not shifted and you are in good shape to JB weld the suckers in a more permanent fashion? I bought a pair of SDA's that had three frozen drivers that I was able to successfully realign. If you need help send me a PM with your email. I will gladly send you some photos of my jig and the process I followed. IIRC, another gentleman on this forum recently posted some really good photos and steps used for realigning magnets. If a search doesn’t pull it up maybe someone on here knows thread I am speaking of.

Thanks to all that responded. Looks like I have a challenge ahead and I accept.
Great references and pics. Will give it a go............ -
If you send me your speaker repair photos etc that would be great
I have just bought an old Polk SDA SRS with 4 bad MW 6503 drivers i would like to try and repair before buying new replacements. I am not sure right now how to even get the speaker apart. I bought the SRS since i also have a set of 1c's at home which i love.
thanks Michael
