Believe it or not, Polk Audio has telephone and email capabilities!

I don't believe my comment/question was sarcastic so why is your answer?

Thanks for sharing your experience on the process. However, I don't think it's that simple. Most of the time its a 3rd party that handles ebay pages such as Polk's not that this is managed that way but I'm curious if someone just updates a universal spreadsheet with this information for CS to refer to when inquires are made.

Not trying to aggravate you but was that really necessary? I hate when people get sassy or sarcastic. I'm not a moron like some users in the community.

That's OK that they have a CS department but like any company they are going to be more biased towards their own brand.

To be honest though I did think that I would not get a straight answer about defects or flaws on their Polk eBay products. Thats why I asked forum members their opinion. I thought I'd get a more unbiased response.

Ever since 1997 I've been purchasing Polk Audio products. In the beginning it has been for their automotive products. I've been very happy with the products I've purchased and the LSiM 703's probably won't be my last.

The one thing I don't think I would have gotten by calling CS is someone suggesting I consider the 703's over the RTAi7's. A while ago I actually did call CS and the person I spoke with didn't sound like someone that would have been willing to offer advice about the differences between the 7's and 9's. All they did was repeat specs about the speakers. And the response gave me the impression that they were selling me on the RTAi9's since they cost more.

I really appreciate the suggestion to consider the LSiM 703's. I decided to go with a tube amp for a stereo audiophile system and another forum I joined was the group that suggested Axioms of which I was just about ready to spend $2000 on. I also spoke a sales person at a brick and mortar store that was trying to sell me Definitive Technology's or Sinclair's. To be honest I think they both sounded good and because they were tower speakers I figured that since they are physically larger in size I was getting more for my money.

As I said though I have other Polk Audio products and because of that I have tendency to be loyal to the brand. Even after purchasing the 703's I was skeptical because they were only bookshelf speakers and not larger towers. I guess the opinions expressed sold me on the 703's. And since connecting them to my Sony STR DN1030 while waiting for my tube amp to be completed I can tell they are sounding better and better as the time passes. I'm really looking forward to the time when I get them setup with the custom built VTA ST-120 amp and preamp from http://www.tubes4hifi.com/bob.htm#ST120, Marantz CD5004 CD player and Marantz ST6000 tuner.

My 'sarcastic' reply was in no way intended to be directed to Drenis. My apologies to Drenis if it was interpretted that way.

My reply was directed to falconcry72. As I said I was influenced to go with LSiM 703's by the forum member so my thought was that the forum was going to give me a more unbiased opinion about the defects or flaws of the Polk Audi product. And as I said the small little dings on the bottom surface was so minute and on a surface that will not be visible when installed on the Sanus Ultimates that they perfect in my eyes.

Maybe I was taking falconcry72's remark about the forum members being nutty to seriously. I agree with everyone here. Lets move on.
