Have 2 Polk Audio speakers. Wiring question.

I was givin two speakers about 2 ft tall. They're for hooking up to an amplifier but I have a question about the wiring as I'm not speaker tech savy. On the back of each speaker there's 4 ports. 2 black and two red. The two blacks are hooked up with a wire and the two reds are hooked up with a wire. They're banana plugs but my question is since the the four are wired into 2 seperate colors do I just need two banana plugs into each speaker? I know this is worded horribly but i can't post pictures from my phone right now..

Yes. If you leave the wire connecting the upper and lowers together in place, you only need to use your banana plugs to one set of connectors.
