Hi everyone !!, I currently have a Mirage BPS 150i.. Great sub its done me well for a four five years now...My problem is the mono rca input is starting to not work..the cable has to be sitting a certain way for it to work ...So I would like to have this issue fixed, and while Im at it maybe put some money into other things..Not sure what though ..
Could anyone give me some advice on what i should do . If i want to put maybe a couple hundred bucks or somewhere in that area..Fix the rca jacks and upgrade ...some stuff..possibly . No idea, money wise, what I would be looking at for cost. Also would maybe be interested in having a fellow polkie do the work...Any reccomendations...Anyone from MA....Will ship the amp section if have to though... Thanks Guys Please help....Any advice is appreciated

Try spraying some Deoxit or another type of contact cleaner into the RCA jacks. That has helped me a couple times in the past.

Right now the Polk 505 12" sub is going for around $199, brand new with a warranty. This would at least give you some time to properly search for your "right" answer.

Do you feel comfortable opening up the sub and checking for a loose connection? It should be a very simply and no cost fix if it is a loose connection.

I would recommend buying a new sub over upgrading the parts on the current one.
