For sale is my very nice Kenwood KA 7100 integrated amp with wood case. This is not some garage/estate sale find but my own unit and treated as such. I did not think I would sell this but I cannot keep it all. This amp was made by Kenwood 1976-1978 and is 60 watts per channel iinto 8 ohms and 80 watts per channel into 4 ohms. The amp is in excellent operational condition as everything works as it should. The faceplate and rear panel are in great shape as are all the knobs and levers. The wood case is also very nice with some signs of wear but overall extremely sharp looking. The original power cord has been reattached and soildered as use a detachable cord with my gear and the speaker terminal have been upgraded with ones that take bananas as well as pins, wire and small spades.
Unit features, bass and treble controls with defeat ,muting -20db, three postion loudness with with defeat , subsonic, and, high filters, mode switch(mono, stereo, reverse). Inputs for tuner, aux, phono 1 as well as tape1 and tape 2. Can drive 2 sets of speakers and headphones Needless to say the controls have a very nice feel and the volume control (32 step) is the reall deal Very well calibrated
Overall beautiful looking, works great and built like a tank at 26lbs. The wood case is a nice added treat. Asking $175 Thanks,

I have the same amp, although not with the wood case, and I love it. In fact I am currently using it in spare bedroom with matching KT-7500 tuner, NAD 5425 cd player and Monitor 10B's. I actually listen to this rig every night.

A very popular amp, back in the day. I've never really seen one with its wood case, that is certainly a bonus! This should be a nice sounding unit, I have the KA-7300 (which, arguably, may have a slightly better pre-amp and a symmetrical layout) but I really doubt my old ears could hear the difference.
These Kenwoods fly under the radar. They are not exactly "warm" but not analytically neutral either. I'd say the sound sits somewhere in between--which is actually a sweet spot!
GLWTS!

Hey there. Could you please provide the measurements of the unit? I'd appreciate it as I'm somewhat limited with space.
