Okay,
Here is my dilemma, I am moving into my new house in about 2 weeks and I realized that my speakers will be to big for our basement. So, I would like to sell my speakers for a heck of a deal.
Here is what I have:
2- RT800IBLK
1- CS1000P
4- FX1000BLK

The speakers are only 3 years old and i have not used them as much as I would like to have.
I also have 4 speaker stands that I would throw in as part of the deal
If you live within 50 miles of Cincinnati, I will deliver them for free.
The selling price is 1500.00 "OBO" for all of them as a set.
I was running them with the Onkyo TXDS989, and they kicked butt in there 7.1 surround ex mode. If you are interested, please email me at OHBALLCOACH@AOL.COM or JROBISON@GMPOPCORN.COM

Please help me make my wife happy. and make me an offer :)

Pictures are a almost a must have in this forum, you may want to post some. I would not expect to sell them as a set, at least not on this flea market. The FX1000's are a hot item....without a doubt. You will have no problem selling those. You can post them on Ebay, for a 3-5 day auction, keep that in mind.

Do you have original boxes and manuals?

I think they are nice speakers, but I am not interested in them. This is a question that will get asked, so I am letting you know ahead of time.

    ****,

When I needed a pair I could not find one. I agree dorokusai pictures are a must. I also think if you split them up they will sell faster. Anyway welcome to the forum and good luck on your sale.

    Guys:

The best thing to do is email him and make an offer. I've been communicating with him for most of the day on my offer. He's good about responding.

By the way, my offer is in for one pair of the FX1000's.

Don't mean to hijack the thread/conversation but what does everyone think about drawing up some "flea market do's and don'ts " guidelines and having justin sticky note it?

    Phoneisbusy,

I think that is a very good idea, they can be suggested or written by the moderator and some of the long time members and more active members of the forum. I think as more and more people become aware of this site they automatically think they can just jump in and sell their polk stuff or any other gear. I think selling rules are definetly needed. I have visited other forums that have these rules and it seems to work.

I don't want to say this isn't legit. But i think some ground rules should be laid out.

I don't want to accuse anyone of dishonesty, but everyone knows that there are those out there....

WOW, I guess It is hard to try to sell things these days. I put them on Ebay and then somebody forwarded to me information about this site and that i could easily get some offers for my speakers.
The speakers I have are very popular speakers and very hard to find speakers. I have been in email contact with several people and have had one phone conversation about the speakers. I can get some pictures if that is what people want. I listed my home email address along with my work information. Anybody that has questions for me, feel free to email me and I will give you my work telephone number.

The post on EBAY is coming down tonight because i am going to try to sell them individually.

If you want to make negative comments, feel free too because you have a right to that. If you want to get an AWESOME deal on some GREAT speakers, email me and make me an offer.

I bet you have been busy man. Nice and rare speakers. Hard to sell big money items on Polk forum but be careful with Ebay if you plan on creating a reputation. No buy/sells, a high money item and the only post was canceled.........
I am one of the biggest rt junkies on here and would love them speakers but no $$$$ right now.......

I have never had a desire to sell anything on EBAY, so that doesn't bother me. I just want to sell my speakers and I am sure if somebody wants them that bad, they will see I am legit. I already have a deal done for one set of my rears... The FX1000 and CS1000P are hard to find speakers.

    Everybody?!?!

Hell all I've seen is polksters looking out for each other. We've had good people get burned around here before, so most of us will raise the red flag if something doesn't seem quite right. Keep in mind that no one here knows you, and only having a handful of posts and trying to sell high dollar items makes people a little bit leary.

That is a very fair statement to make. I should have said a few people have put me down in here. I am doing everything humanly possible to ensure people i am for real. If you go to www.enquirer.com and look under the classifieds, and then the electronics section, you will find my ad for the speakers. I put it in the paper the other day and it will run for like another week.

Once these sales go through, i hope the buyers will verify that I was legit.

    Thanks,

Fair enough, and if the buyers are "Standup" types they will. I think you'll find that 99% of the people around here are decent enough. Hell some of them are down right friendly! Don't be too offended, be glad you found a forum where the members actually give a rats **** about each other.

    OH

I don't want you to take it the wrong way. There have been cases of people being taken. It has happened to me, but not in this forum.

We consider ourselves to be somewhat of a club in here. Think of how you want your team to play together and watch out for each others back. Kinda the same.

Don't worry, after it is all said and done and everyone gets their stuff, you will be getting much props, man.

    good luck.

I apologize if I offended you.

Just my opinion (and experience) but when people set up multiple ads they are generally willing to cause bad blood if someone offers a higher amount elsewhere even after a commitment has been made. In essence they have illuded to the fact that they are willing do this just by the action of offering it in more than one place. Might not want to do that in the future.
