Chinese Tube Buffer

Anyone every tried/heard one of these tube buffer preamps? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Tube-6N11-X-10D-Buffer-Pre-AMP-Base-on-Musical-Fidelity-/110620823421?pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item19c183cf7d I am interested in them as they offer no gain, but volume control; which I would upgrade anyway along with adding additional inputs. I know Gary Dodd makes a tube buffer preamp, but I don't have that kind of cash right now.
Do you have a better option for me? I do like my Nelson Pass B1, but it's hard to stay away from tube, so I might as well do both!
