    Trades? Looking for some Cardas 5-way binding posts (prefer Rhodium, but would consider others), can kick in some cash if new.

    For those of you who do not know what this is.
    ANYTIME you buy a component, from Agon, FleaBay ect. as an example, you are taking a chance "just pluggin it into a wall socket".
    Especially the older "vintage" kit.
    Can't take someones word for it now a days.
    This will allow you to safely plug it in, supplying only the current needed to start it, no more, and will tell you in roughly 2 seconds if there is a problem.
    The Dim Bulb Tester (DBT) is used to limit the current through a Device Under Test (DUT). Unlike a Variac it automatically changes the current to the DUT while providing an immediate visual feedback. No manually adjusted auto-transformers, volt or amp meter is needed. I use one frequently to test vintage tube radios before, during and after restorations.

    ....and here I thought a "dim bulb tester" was to measure a persons wisdom. Not enough bulbs in the world for that. Could be why they want to get rid of bulbs to begin with.
