Need some cheapie banana plugs for a buddy. They just need to work, dont need to be anything special. We will be using Monoprice 14/2 CL2 in wall rated speaker wire for his setup so nothing crazy gauge wise.
I found 2 different types for decent prices and wanted thoughts on em.
Type 1 (look similar to Audioquest ones I have seen)Gold Plated Banana Plug Connectors 14-8 AWG 4 Pcs. Set Screw-Type Termination
Type 2 (look like Monster Quick Connects on the end) Gold Plated Screw Type Banana Plugs 18-12 AWG 4 Pcs.
Any other cheap suggestions welcome.
IIRC the monoprice banana's had issues with them hence not listing them as well..

How many does he need? I have some cheap eBay "Nakamichi" ones I would be willing to karma if he doesn't need like 20. Hehe."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

For bananna plugs on the cheap, I've used these before:

If going with the set screw type, I like the dual opposing kind rather than the single set screw ones you have linked. PE doen't seem to have any like that.
Edit:
Noticed you don't want the Mono ones. I bought some about 9 months ago & had no issues. When did you see reports of them being crap? -

LOL, he needs 20 for a full 5 channel setup, if not 24 (if he uses wallplates for his surrounds), or 32 (if he uses Zone 2 speakers) lol...."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Let me see how many I have. I want to keep at least 2 sets handy for emergencies. I will let you know later today."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

I've used these in the BFA type both of these(BFA + spring type) are better than the NAK's which i have also used
go out to Chanlers store very respectable guy to deal with -
I got a bunch of RCA branded banana plugs from Menard's for about 2 bucks a pair. They have the terminal screw hidden by a screw on sleeve.
Edit: here they are http://www.menards.com/main/electrical/audio-video/connectors-splitters/plugs/banana-clips/p-1813402-c-12572.htm
Guess it was about 2.50 -
I have used this locking banana plugs - http://sewelldirect.com/Sewell-Harpoon-Locking-Banana-Plugs-8-pair-.asp
They are not as good as the GLS ones. -

The only issue I've had with those MP plugs is they can unscrew themselves when used on speakers. Even if I use pliers to tighten down the cables they still came lose. A piece of 3/8" heat shrink tubing over the banana plug stopped them from backing out.
Otherwise they work just fine. -
I like the "Type 1" style, I think they're called BFA Banana. It's a tighter connection, and the plug is less likely to fall apart.
I've used the same style Nakamichi, from this seller, with good results. Less than a buck a piece:

Enders, sorry took so long to post back up. I went through my bag and I have about half of what he would need. He is welcome to them if he wants em.
I will be holding on to a enough pairs to do 2 cables but other than that..."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

Nah, he's got to order a bunch of other small stuff anyway (cable wire boxes, speaker wire, hdmi cables, etc) so, 20 bucks isnt going to break him too much.
