How much should an LSi9 fetch? I myself is interested in it but don't know if the price is still reasonable. :D

What can I say, I got the LSi bug bite and it is irresistable...

Looks like a disaster waiting to happen. The negative feedbacks are REALLY negative and the private auction is so people in the know cannot contact the bidders.

I'd go local pickup, cash in hand, or nothing at all. Eff a private auction, period. It ain't ****, it's audio.

Good point guys. I was wondering also about the private auction thing. Oh well, so much for my idea. I was actually thinking of getting that and replace my LSi7.

This may sound self serving but it isn't. If you really want some new like LSi-9's, let me know, mine are for sale. Certainly not my reason for the negatives here, I really wouldn't touch this auction with a 10 foot pole.

I was tracking this same auction about 3 weeks ago, and the guy closed it after about 5 days. The reason he used was that there was an error in the description. Strangely, it's the exact same listing. I just assumed he sold them out of auction.

I was actually hoping of snagging a pair of LSi9s for less than $500 but I have since realized that it is a pipe dream :(

not a pipe dream. It certainly can happen if you wait long enough and watch enough auctions

    kibro2,
Eric at Sound Distributor has an open box LSi9 (demo model) at $500 about a month ago. They might still has it and they used to be an unauthorized LSi dealer. Give 'em a call if interested.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

polkatese, I looked around the internet and most stores, if not all (except crutchfield $$$), are already sold out.

I'll check your lead just the same.

    thanks.

I would like to purchase madmax's LSi9s but here's my dillema...

The LSi9s will replace my LSi7s. I would like to sell mine. They are almost unused, it has less than a minute on them. I just made sure that they were working so I opened the box and they are now sitting on top of my entertainment center doing nothing since with a 5.1 set up and the LSi f/x doing the surround job they are not yet needed. I am preparing for a 7.1 set up.

I want to sell the LSi7's for $450 + shipping. This might be high to some but keep in mind that this LSi7 will be manufacturer backed since I have the receipt and docs that came with it. All of that will be sent with the purchase.

Any takers? I'd like em sold before I get madmax's.

pics are here (the small specks, streaks on the speakers are lint that collected through a few weeks of sitting out, tried to get most of em out but a few got left):

    Kilbro,
Just for your info, I have had the LSi's for 6 months and have only tried lightly to sell them. If you don't buy them now I will probably wait a few months before I put them on ebay. I'm just saying I am not trying to push them out the door today. No promises though because if someone says they want them I will take the best offer. Right now they are just sitting here until someone is willing to pay a reasonable price. If that doesn't happen within the next six months and I don't get them on ebay I'll probably end up using them in a yet to be determined theater.

no offense, but trying to sell your 7's for $450 in the same thread that someone is offering his 9's for $500 probably isn't going to get you anywhere. Good luck though

    2 things I see here.

Why would anyone buy your LSi7's for $450 when MadMax's are only $50 more?

Also, the LSi7 can be had on ebay for $400 shipped, new in box.

Not a personal attack, but your last post really put a bad taste in my mouth.

    WHAT!!!!????!?!??! Get real man.

You know what, I am sick and tired of this ****. Dang, why would my post put a bad taste on your ohh so precious mouth??? What is wrong with what I posted???? And, not a personal attack, whatever.... all my posts puts a bad taste in your mouth, what's new???

madmax, no offense meant to you. I understand that you would want the best offer and that is fine with me. That is all good. I'd do the same thing.

As far as the $450, like I said, my edge as far as the ones on eBay is mine is legit with receipt and original box... if the added insurance is not worth the $50 bucks and that is fine, I'll keep my speakers.

I can see this thread going south again so, I am withdrawing my offer on the LSi7. Forget it, this is not worth the aggravation.

I agree with you Ceruleance, no offense taken. I thought about posting another thread but got lazy and besides, the people that would buy the LSis are usually the people that would look at ANY LSi deals. I also agree that $500 for the LSi9s is definitely attractive, that is why I want em.

I just followed what the peeps here in the board was suggesting so as not to aggravate some of the old timers here but I am out ideas anymore.

Based on my previous posts and how 'interesting' they have become, I concluded the 3 basic rules in the Flea market and they are:

    1. No ebay links to the items i'm selling.
    2. Offer the deal first with your fellow polkies.
    3. Pictures, lots of them.

    Oh well...

I can't speak for the bad taste in Russ's mouth (could be whatever he was drinking tonight) and I don't think your post is negative. It does seem rather pointless though.
