The new Fry's in Plano, TX opened last Friday; finally got to by there yesterday. Standing proud in the Polk room were the 7s, 15s and 25s. Didn't get to audition them, since Fry's is still just that and finding a salesperson is the impossible.

If you're anywhere in the Dallas area I highly recommend you visit this new store. Excellent layout, great product selection and even a deli. Glad to see they've gotten away from the ghetto look of the Dallas store...this place is like the Sak's 5th Avenue of electronic stores.

Is there no end to the growth out in Plano? Now if they would just dump a good 100 million into that piece of **** 121 and make an actual FREEWAY out of it already. I can't believe that it's survived as a 2 laner this long......

Actually, the work on 121 started just after your last visit.

Stoppped by the new Plano Fry's - VERY impressive. Nice, clean, well thought out, and HUGE. It was weird seeing a 'deli' right in the middle of the store, but hey - with a place that big you probably need to grab a bite to eat before you leave.

Where in Plano? Any cross streets?
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

They actually made a movie about it?? Good grief... The school that most of those kids died at (Heroin High) is the same one that was known as Suicide High in the late 80's. Great place to live!!

    Yes!!!!
I had no idea that a new Fry's opened up in Plano. I no longer have to travel to Garland or Las Colinas to go to Fry's? Well I think the one in Las Colinas is still closer(off of LBJ and Mcarthur blvd). That one just opened up this past summer.

I thought that the Fry's that was around the airport has the deli type thing in the center as well, no?

That 121 has been a nightmare ever since I moved away way the hell back in '93 or so.

I went to Plano Senior HIGH School (Graduated in '91), and I was totally oblivious to the drug problems until I was on a ski trip in New Mexico and some lady on the ski lift said that she had seen a report on MTV about our HS being one of the highest Crack (or Heroine) problems in the nation. With the money that those lil spoiled brats were being handed on a daily basis, didn't surprise me........

Being new to the Dallas area, one of the first things I heard of was the big heroin problem in Plano. I guess with all that money they need to spend it on something.

I work at the Irving Fry's and we have the entire LSi line as well. I fought like hell to get them put in a different room with an onkyo DS-989 reciever and SP800 dvd audio and sacd player. The first time I tested them out was with the linkin park dvd audio, and it almost made the cd sound good(LP mistake). Next was the new CD from A Perfect Circle, after listening to the entire cd, I fell in love. They sound so nice. I get pissed off going home to my onkyo HTIB :(. (and by the way, we do have a deli in the middle, I suggest the toasted pastrami) Anyways, my name is Matt Mathis, so come say hi if you stop by. On a seperate note, I just installed the RTi 12's CSi5 and the bipole dipole surrounds and was very suprised. Actually hearing these out of a poorly made demo room made me a born again polk believer.

Anybody has pricing info of LSis at Fry's?
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I came home for the holidays from college. The new Fry's is amazing. So nice that i only have to drive a mile to get to it since i live right by collin creek mall. I don't know how bestbuy and CC are going to compete with Fry's. You can pretty much nuy everything at fry's that u can at the other to stores but i think there is actually a wider selection for most things.

I graduated from Plano Senior in 2002 also. The drug problem is still there. Not near what it was in the 1998 when the herion problem was there.

O ya my brother graduated the yr that happened to. An ex-girlfriend of his actually OD on it during that time period. Crazy what happens when parents give there teens credit cards and crazy amounts of money. They f up and do alot of stupid stuff.
