Question about LSi speaker choice in HT Application

Good afternoon.
I have a couple questions about which LSi speakers I should use as rears in a combo HT and stereo application. First off, the space being filled is large (it is a 25ft long x 18ft deep living room with an open floor plan). The living room at the back right side opens to another 6x10 entryway to the house and on the back left side opens to a 16x12 kitchen.
I'm planning on using a pair of Polk LSi 15's as the front speakers with the LSiC center, PSW650 sub and a pair of rears. In your opinions, should I use the LSi9's as my rears or should I use the surround LSi FX's as my rears. I have heard conflicting info on which is best for HT.
Also, regarding the fronts, is it better to go with paired LSi15's and the PSW650 subwoofer, or should I scrap the sub idea and just get the LSi25's?
HT to stereo use will be about 50/50, with perhaps a bit more HT use.
Thanks

The only prison which restrains you is the one you form in your mind.

I would go with the FX speakers in the rear. The bipole/dipole action will allow for better diffusing of the surround sound which is what those speakers are meant to do in a home theater 5.1 or 7.1 set up.
For the front's I would go with the LSI15 speakers and the subwoofer you mentioned. This will give you more flexibility and I'm not a fan of self powered tower speakers. You may want to talk to Polk and ask them when the new LSI subwoofer will be available for sale. It is a more powerful subwoofer specifically being made for the LSI series speakers. Never can have enough bass.....
