Wanting to know the going rate on the BAT vk55 and vk-3i pre? They're asking $2400 for the vk-55 and $1100 for the pre. Anything else worth looking at?

Wow, lot's of neat stuff. I was more interested in the black powder pistol than anything else...

That is not the usual collection at an estate sale! Price seems decent for those BAT components if you can swing it; would be a great combo.

Looks like good stuff. But Estate Sales creep me out because they make me reflect on how "little" time is "left". And how soon we'll all be gone! I mean "all"; even the youngest, here! Life is so "short"!

I would say after watching bat stuff on Audiogon they are right in the area for price for the retail market. Nothing that is an amazing deal but I've seen both those go for right around that when listed. I think the lowest I saw the 3i was like 1000 or 950. The downside of that pre is that it does use a LOT of tubes and it would also make a difference if it had the remote and phono stage installed as well. If it has both then 1100 isn't bad and if it has upgraded tubes would for sure be worth a look and maybe a purchase.

The phono board and remote are both 500 each add ons when you would buy the pre.

Also the same thing with the amp. Really depends if it will need to be retubed or not and the hours on it. They are not the cheapest thing to retube if you need to.

I wanted to get to this but just not going to be able to go. Got a wedding (don't wanna go anyways) that weekend.

It looks like a remote setting on top of the pre. Wonder if it belongs to it?

I didn't look at the picture but if its a black solid remote that is machined then it would be the BAT remote. They only come in black and are out of one solid peice of metal. Very nice and can use as a weapon when needed.
