I have a receiver pioneer vintage only capable of 8 ohms min , the sda 2's i have are 4 ohms ,here is my question my receiver has plenty of power, can i run a pair of sansui's speakers in series with the sda 2's to raise the ohms running my 8 ohm sansui and the 4 ohm polk sda 2's would give me 12 ohms but will the interconnect cable still work ? and operate the speakers correctly ? thanks

I would not try if it were me. I would just wait and get a good common ground amp.

Not sure the Denon is common ground, Carver stuff is good but might need to be serviced for full potential.

Carver does make a good amp and the TFM line are common ground, which is what you need for SDAs. However, I wouldn't try to drive any pair of SDAs with anything less than an amp that's rated for at least 200 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms with both channels driven. The TFM-15s are only rated at 100 WPC into 8 Ohms/140 into 4. You just might like the sound you get from your SDAs with that amp, but my guess is you'd be wanting for more.

Your Pioneer 1250 will power the SDA's fine at lower than concert levels until you can upgrade to another amp. Only use the SDA's with it, do not connect more than one pair of speakers.
2-ch System: Parasound P/LD 2000 pre, Parasound HCA-1000 amp, Parasound T/DQ Tuner, Phase Technology PC-100 Tower speakers, Technics SL-1600 Turntable, Denon 2910 SACD/CD player, Peachtree DAC iT and X1asynchorus USB converter, HSU VTF-3 subwoofer.
