I'm posting this in the correct forum this time! :-P

I am looking for one or two functional P-mount cartridge(s) (i.e., cartridge with good stylus)... might any of youse guyses have a surplus one that you'd let go cheaply? When I say cheap, I mean less than $20 shipped for one (the low-end, current production A-T P-mounts go for about that). A local pick-up/swap somewhere in the Boston "MetroWest" (ideally, I-495 corridor) would be fine, too.

I would be happy to trade for something of like value (chances are if there's something you want - I have one or two, in whatever 'as found' condition as it/they may be!).

Alternatively, if anyone knows of a reliable, cheaper source of a new one... you can let me know that instead.

Thanks for your consideration!

I (may) have one that will work for you. Let me pull it out and snap a picture. It may take me a while to get it up. Be patient.

^^I'll have to check that out when I get back to GA^^ I remember the Technics standard mount cart and spare stylus for it, but I don't remember the P-mount cart. Not saying it's not there, just don't remember it. I wasn't feeling very good at the time and was loaded up on anti-congestants and other medications, so my memory wasn't great at the time. It could be in the turntable box, I'll have to check. Hope everything is going well on your end.

MHardy, if I do have a P-Mount cart you are more than welcome to it. I only use standard mount carts. It will probably be a couple of weeks before I can back to GA to check though.

Sorry dawgfish...I may have had a brain cramp. The p-mount was in a Sont front load TT I gave away....to someone else, apparently. I sold a pair of Bose 901's I had rehabbed and a Pioneer SX-780 receiver to another local guy a day or so after we met. Upon reflection, I gave him the TT.

    My bad.

Good to hear from you, though. Are you still enjoying the Sony PS-X75?

No problem. I am lovng the Sony. It has taken my vinyl enjoyment up another level. I put my modded Dynavector 20XH and added an outer ring from TTWeights to it and it sounds simply breathtaking.

Sorry MHardy, it doesn't look like I can help with the P-Mount cart. If I indeed did have one I would have gave it to you. Good luck with the search.

No problem - just trying to save spending 20 smackers plus shipping on a cartridge for a turntable that's not worth that much even on a good day :-)

I am already in Karmic debt to "polkersince85" for his uber-generous supply of replacement Polk logos when I broke one a year or two ago!

Thanks to all of you for you consideration!
