Want to get a lower priced harmony remote, mainly to replace the missing one from a rxv2500 rec. i just bought.

i figure they all will do any function of any piece of equipment listed on their web site..

Just want to make sure before i buy that i will be able to fully command avr.

A yamaha replacemnt is 70 bucks, would not mind spending that if it will do more, but the ability to use harmony for other gear would be nice too.

Thanks guys in advance

Harmony One used on ebay for $70 or $80 if your patient. I haven't tried any of their other models, but the Harmony One has rocked my world.

Thanks guys, just offered 100 for what is described as a mint 1100, the one with the large screen and you hold it with both hands.

    heres hoping

If not, im thinkin of going to "new remote control"website i believe, and getting one that is oem for 69 bucks, just from a secondary seller, they arent avail. from yammy.

I have the 520, one of the older lower models. It controlled every single function of the RXV-1500 I had years ago, I think the features are about the same as your 2500. For what it's worth, it also controlled every function of my old Onkyo PR-SC885 pro, and current Yamaha RXV-1800.

Even if something is missing, you can teach it the command, so a Harmony will fully replace you factory remote, no problem. The real question is, how long will the remote be supported on future devices, it appears Logitech is dumping Harmony:

sounds like a cheap logitech is in my future, was thinkin about an 1100 on cl for 150, the one with the large screen, but with the uncertainty in logitechs future?

    thanks for info guys
