Hello gents,
I now have a ht reciever that will see me through until I have the funds to get what I am really after. I was looking through a local internet flea market of sorts and came across an ad that I almost passed up until a certain word caught my eye (denon). Upon reading further I discovered that it was a avr 2000 in mint condition with the remote. What blew my mind was the price and I just knew that it had to be a typo, so I called them up and sure enough it was listed correctly....I bagged this one for 20 bucks and it is in perfect condition.
So far this evening I have given it a short run down and boy do those 15 tl's love this receiver, after I have had some time to play around with it I will post a more in depth review of what I think but damn I am already blown away with it and it just shames the hell out of the jvc. So did I do good or what?
The guy that I got it from is using the blose cubes with a passive sub and wedge shaped blose surrounds and center channel, I just about had him convinced (before I took off) that he should at least get a polk rm series and ditch the blose stuff and he agreed with me. He bought a dolby digital thx cert kenwood that he is driving them with and it sounded like crap.
I hope that I am converting yet another to the other side.
I told him to call me and I would come get the blose stuff just to have something to play with and think I can get it for free, I guess I could use it for something.

Okay, I've calmed down abit. Sorry for the outburst.
I suppose taking the Blose would sorta evened out the deal
a bit more.
