I should have brought this up ages ago as this has been an on going event ever since I got the t.v. After turning
the set on and goes through it's warm up it starts to pop and crackel here and there w/ no set rhyme but the
reason would be heat. The set does throw off a good amount and I do not have a thermal thermometer but when
close up to it's warm. Now if all this is the body of the set adjusting the the differing temps I can fully understand
that because the entire body is plastic. With saying that it has vent grills all the way around the perimeter and
either when on it's stand or now hung w/ no obstructions at all any other causes or like I think just adjusting
to the heat.Oh it's a Toshiba AU37 flat 1080p if that matters.

Why didn't you take it back when you first noticed it? Just curious. If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

So it's the case that's making the noise, not the speaker?

Firstly I got it as a gift from mom w/o paper work and never really considered it all that bad. Secondly it is coming from the case and the electronics are not effected when this happenes which just leads me to believe it's expanding and contracting w/ the heat generated.
To be sure if there was a way to prove my theory is why I brought it up here at so late in the game. Again picture wise it is the cleanest clearest t.v. I've seen at this size so not all that concerned and at 5yrs old I still think it has way more life to it.2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E
