You do understand this is a Polk website. May be a little bias here. Probably the same at Klipsch site. I would go Polk. Best to listen for yourself with that kind of investment.

For mostly Home Theater and mutichannel concert I'd go klipsch without a doubt. Make sure you get the RF7II's over the originals. The Klipsch are cleaner, more dynamic and gives you that movie like sound at home.
I do think the LSIm series would be a better choice for music playback. All in all both have there strengths and weaknesses and you should get your ears on both. -
ty guys..
Need more idea -
They are both really good choices . I have not heard the LSim's with theater but with music and they are very nice , detailed and very clear. I really enjoyed my time with them. Klipsch on the other hand I have heard with both many times and personally I would go that route especially for a theater first system. Not many speakers on the planet can recreate dynamic range like Klipsch can. They are amazing and down right scary when replaying theater sound.
Either way you go , you will have one hell of a system.Dan

Why not compare the Klipsch with the Polk RTI-A9's...they are current and made for HT.:cool:Main Family Room: Sony 46 LCD, Sony Blue Ray, Sony DVD/VCR combo,Onkyo TXNR 708, Parasound 5250,
Polk SDS-SRS with mods, CSI 5 center + Klipsch SC2, Polk RT2000P rears, Klipsch KG 1.5's sides, Polk Micro Pro 1000, Polk Micro Pro 2000, Polk SW505, Belkin PF60, Signal Cable Classics,Monster IC's, 2 15 amp circuits & 1 20 amp circuit.
Living Room: Belkin PF60, Parasound HCA2200, MIT ProlineEXP balanced IC's,Emotiva XDA-1 DAC/Pre,Emotiva ERC2 transport,MIT AVT2, Polk LSI 9's. -

You've got several suggestions above. Really boils down to what YOU like. Welcome to CP! -
I'd go Klipsch myself since it's mainly HT and multi channel concerts, however the Lsim's are very nice and I'd choose them if it were going to be used more for music. Demo both and see what you prefer, I doesn't matter what anyone on here thinks it just matters what you like the best.

FYI... 50% of movie theaters in US use Klipsch speakers. but the lsim look way better than the boxy looking speakers.

I'd like to demo a full LSIM system in a 5.1 or 7.1/.2. I'd love to hear what they could do. Anyone know anywhere that has them set up for demo? Around the Phila area? Even anywhere in NJ?Dan

Why don't you make a trip my way. I could use an expert calibration.
I'd also look at Definitive technology. Very dynamic and clean also. Better at music than the rf7's but not giving up much in the HT department. -
Yeah but what about Michael's question, how to the Klipsch compare to RTI-A9's? I'm curious. The lsim's are better in everyway.

I was out in Chicago a few years ago , loved it there by the way. Thats about as close as I have been to your neck of the woods. If I ever get out that way again , I'd love to make a stop by and calibrate your system.Dan

Damn !!! That was quick. Congrats on a great system.
-
That's a freaking fantastic system! Giving the fact that you have tile floors, which are very lively sounding, I think you made the right choice going with the LSiMs over the Klipschs and the RTiAs.

That is one beautiful system and the room for it. The RF-7S list for $1600- and are like some have said box tower style,The Palladia
P-37-f @ $4000 are of the running and the Polks LSiM 707 list for $2000. Just going on fit and finish alone I'd say you made the right choice even though I myself own some Klipsch smalls.
