I just added a pair of the original RTA 12's w/stands to my collection. I was compairing to my monitor 10's (stock crossovers) and the 10's just sound cleaner with more detail. Compairing to my monitor 12's (sonic caps and mills, sl2000) again monitor 12 sound better. All drivers in the rta12's are fine. So, picked up some rta12B crossovers (stock) and installed them, now we are getting some where.

Be sure and report back how they sound when you install the 12B Xovers. The original RTA 12's are a completely different design than The 12B's and 12C's, so the Xover is not compatible.
You'd be better off rebuilding the original Xovers."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer
