For anyone interested in the Eagles Farewell Concert in Australia, coming to blu-ray in a week or so. Good price by the looks of it, I'm in.

The standard quality of that CD was outstanding. Would love to hear the BD of the concert. Well worth the $$$$

$$$$ I'm sure they got another farewell tour or two in them yet. $$$$

Any Eagles release brings a smile to my face. Perhaps one day we'll get another new song or two.

Anyone pick this up yet? Waiting for my copy from Amazon. Gets a decent review here: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-Eagles-Farewell-I-Live-From-Melbourne-Blu-ray/63541/#Review
As I recall, the DVD was pretty good, I have high expectations for the blu-ray. -
Got my copy of this today, the blu ray doesn't disappoint. Got about 80 or so BD concerts, the picture here rivals any of them. Stellar audio to match. Menu seems a little awkward, no sound and "button to activity" response is slow (I have a couple like that). Once it starts though, just awesome. I like to rate concerts on blu (just for my own benefit) and I consider this one "well bought".

Is it a direct transfer from the HDDVD to BR?

How does this concert compare to the Hell Freezes Over concert? Everybody seemed to really rave about that one.

Both are excellent, but the HFO concert was kind of laid back with an accoustical version of Hotel California, and an outstanding Last Resort with a full orchestra backing them up. But for straight out rockin, the Farewell tour can't be beat. I have both on DVD and HFO I have on DVD-V, DVD-A, and CD.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2

This definitely is a must have for me, but I'm going to wait a bit. My wife and daughter got me the dvd when it came out for Father's Day, and I think I'll just ask for this one for Fathers Day too.My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

Thank C, hopefully if the Farewell Blu Ray sells well, the HFO concert will go to Blu Ray.
