BAT vs ARC tube amps

Since I've never heard any BAT or ARC gear I'm at a loss of which one would sound better in my system. Of course the best would be to buy them both and do a head to head comparison.
For those that have heard both amps, please describe the differences/similarities of the ARC VS115 and the BAT VK-75.

Sorry, I can't help here because I've never heard either company's tube power amps...but I do, however, own a BAT solid state power amp and an ARC tubed preamp, and I can vouch for the fit/finish, overall quality, and great customer service of both of these companies.
Good luck on the search, can't go wrong!2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

Thanks Falcon.
Even describing the different house sounds of bat and arc could be helpful. -
ARC has a mild-tube sound. It has a bit of warmness, but not a lot, and is forgiving of recording faults.
It runs on modern tubes with no need of $$$$ NOS tubes. New they are $$$$ to buy, though.
I go my vt-60 used. It's paired with a Audio Experience Symphonies preamp, which does require a
bit of NOS magic. I have tried going back to some SS amps, not going to happen. ARC is a fine
choice. BAT is a brand I only know by reputation."The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." --Thomas Jefferson -

hmm. That's hard for me to do, given that my BAT is solid state, whereas my ARC is tubed...
With absolutely ZERO knowledge of either piece?...I like BAT. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because when I called their customer service I talked to the designer of my amp, Victor; maybe it's because BAT has a slightly more "boutique" stigma in my head... I don't know.
I say get both and figure it out. One first then the other if need be. Wait for a good deal and snag it either way... then do that again with whichever one you didn't get the first time. :biggrin:2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

I have not earned or heard Bat in person but I currently own the arc vs55 and love it. Sound is very open, transparent, lots of details, and tight bass. It has no problem driving my usher be718.

I like BAT because of their sound quality, and second-to-none customer service.
