Hi,
Just when I thought I was all set to purchase the Denon DVD 2900 or 5900 for that matter, Marantz comes out with a pretty nice new universal player. It's really new so I was wondering if anyone has seen, heard or owns one, to offer an opinion. The guys at "The Absolute Sound" gave it a pretty good review, better than the Denon sonically, which is what I'm striving for. So now I'm torn here. The drool factor is pretty high on the Marantz model for me, but I've been a Marantz head for years! Any thoughts or ideas would be helpful.

im too lazy to look up specific model numbers but i demoed a marantz player that played everything, sacd, dvd a, cd-rw, u name it it played it. very nice player, sounded very very nice. however for the $1600 price tag its about $1600 out of my range. but hey whatever, it was a nice player
