I may be going to this auction Saturday, and saw this. Most of the stuff at this one seems pretty nice, so I was wondering if this is an all-in-one unit, or separate pieces that have been put into the cabinet. My guess is the latter...

Looks to be seperate... at least the bottom left looks to be an early 80's JVC dual cassette. The receiver maybe Yamaha and Reel to reel look interesting though. GL

Thanks Travis, I'm more interested in the R2R to sell, I don't have any use/space for one. I'm also interested in to see what kind of TT that is...

The speakers on top with the lattice grills could be either Sansui's or Pioneers. The Pioneers seem to have more fanboys as far as flipping to make a few bucks. I'd say grab it all for under $150 and go from there.

Heck, I'd most likely try and part out the speakers if I can't sell them locally. I'll try and get by today or tomorrow and get some info off of the TT, amp and R2R..

Pretty sure those are Pioneer speakers. For rock, they rock.

Speakers appear to be from the Pioneer CS-A line. My first set of good speakers were the CS-A700, bought around 1974. Soft or loud they sounded great, and I loved the cabinet work at the time, although I consider it gaudy now.

I assume receiver and speakers are original Pioneer gear.

The receiver is either an SX-650 or SX-750 (they are somewhat similar in appearance). See a shot of the SX 650 below:

And here is the SX 750. But it really does look MORE like the 650 if you look very CLOSELY!

Man, you guys are good sometimes! Alright, we have a pair of Pio CS-22A speakers, 'Sonics' AS-447 speakers, technics slp 115 cd player, pioneer pla 340 TT, pioneer sx-650 (go cnh!), and a sony tc-580 r2r...

I did some quick e-bay searches and couldn't find much on all of it, the R2R seems to have its own 'issues' (from the factory) but still goes for some decent coin. Everything looks to be in excellent condition, I'm not sure the speakers are worth much if anything. I've got no idea on the cd player, but I doubt it also.

Travis you we're correct as well, it IS a JVC tape deck, but I didn't get the model numbers off of it. I'm still on the fence to grab it or not, I've got a few pairs of speakers, non working receiver, a pl-35 (I think) TT in the basement all needing to be moved... I need some motivation!!

I forgot to mention, that in the cabinet there are quite a few blank r2r tapes, I'm not sure if those are worth much also, from ebay prices they look like they should go for about 5/each... Of course if I get it, I'll give first chance polkie prices here!

The value of the blank tapes will depend rather steeply on the brand and specific type. Some were just plain not-too-good; some have not aged gracefully; some are excellent. Personal faves (as a point of reference) Maxell UD-35-90 (7") or UD-35-180 (10-1/2").

None of that stuff is worth any effort.
