Just settled on a price for a 1500a amp and a PL/D 1100 pre. Going to look at them tomorrow. If all is well, I will finally have a 12v trigger and remote for my 2 ch listening! Lazy I know, but I really want to hear the Parasound with the 2Bs.

Please report back on how you like the Parasound 1500a with the 2Bs. I kick myself just about everyday for passing last year on a local MINTY one that I had the seller at $325 for. I had it in my mind that I was gonna do the amp thing for $300 or below, AND I was just starting out in my quest to find what was desirable in an amp. By the time I had come to my senses, he had sold it.....THEN, I saw them going for much, much more, some going for more than twice what I could have paid. Oh, just thinking of it again gets me all worked up all over again.....

I will report back fo sho. Knock on wood, I don't have them yet. I am hoping I wont need a tube buffer with this combo. I am using one now and I like it, but it's just another thing in the signal path.

Good for you!
Should be a sweet set up, can't wait to hear the report. -
I don't think you'll need a tube buffer with that combo. I used a VERY similar setup for a while that consisted of a Parasound HCA-2200ii and PL/D-2000 running a pair of 2B's. It sounded awesome! Thanks for the heads up on that combo. Should have tomorrow eve. Anyone looking for a GFA-555 in VGC? -

Nice to know. I have to play at very low volumes quite often because the wife works 3rd for now. The buffer was eating up some gain. -
Everything is hooked up and has been playing at low volume for a couple of hours. 12v trigger works and the remote still had the plastic on it! Very happy.
Initial thoughts are that I don't need a tube buffer any more. Very smooth sound that I think will get even better over time. The guy that sold it said it has been unused for some time. Also, more dynamics at a lower volume, especially in the low end.
The pre is nice. It has a direct out and enough inputs for what I have. I does not have a phono hook up though. I can get by with my piece of crap Pyle phono pre until I find something better. Nice having a remote and 12v trigger.
All in all, the combo seems like a great fit with the 2Bs. I believe there is a slightly higher draw on this amp than the Adcom GFA-555. The Adcom is great, but so far, I like like the Parasound's overall sound a tic more. A little more "bloom" as they say. -

I am trying, but after I uploaded them all they have is a big question mark. So, I have to hunt a bit. -
