I need to get some wall treatments for my listening room. Here is my idea.

Take a piece of the acoustic foam (http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=260-516&ctab=7) and cover it with grill cloth, then hang it on the side walls in the 1'st & 2'nd reflection points. Does this sound like a good idea?

You can also go to your local Home Depot and pick up a sheet of stiff-board insualtion and wrap that in cloth.

There are two issues here. Absorbsion and diffusion. Are you trying to daden the room, cut down on reflections, or cut down on standing waves? Just hanging "something" on the wall could have either posiitive or negitive results if you don't know what you are doing. Some research might not be a bad idea.
