Hi,

First post, please cut me slack as appropriate ...

Is the Monitor 15C a good match for a pair of Monitor 65T's? Or do I really need a Monitor 25C?

What about a subwoofer?

Thanks,

SledMark

The 15C has 5 1/4 inch drivers while the 25C has 6 1/2 inch ones.
The 65Ts have 5 1/4inch drivers so the more identical timbre match would be the 15c.

Personally, to realize the full potential and enhance your enjoyment, a subwoofer would be very beneficial. You will ad a depth and realism that the 65Ts will just come up a hair short on.
The combination of the 65Ts with a subwoofer though will greatly increase the range of sounds you will be able to enjoy.

Thanks for the info. I'll go with the 15C for economy.

Now how about a subwoofer? PSW10 adequate? or step up to PSW110?

Choice of a sub depends on a lot of variables. How big is your room? Does it open to other areas? % music vs movies/gaming? And most important... budget.

    And welcome to CP!

Ken is spot on. I can tell you that while both of those subs are decent for the money, the PSW505 is leaps and bounds ahead of both of them in regards to its flexibility and output. And it isn't a huge price leap to jump up to it.
