Way overpriced. Do speaker prices reflect the housing market in B.C.? Seems like it...

Ya, no kidding.
Maybe this guy is original owner and he's trying to fix a price based on purchase price. Probably doesn't understand depreciation on these oldies. For that kind of money I could buy a brand new set LSiM705's! -
As well as these speakers hold up, I'm surprised they don't go for $3K now like they did 20+ years ago. Inflation adjusted, they would be $6K. My 1.2s look exactly as they did in '88 and nothing has failed and they still sound great. Few vintage speakers hold up so well.

Overpriced? Not really. How many pairs of 1.2TL's do you see pop up in your area? You also have to consider that you don't have to pay for shipping, which would be expensive. For that kind of money I could buy a brand new set LSiM705's!
And you wouldn't come close to the sound and performance of the SDA's.Political Correctness'.........defined

I agree. I paid $1800.00 for my pair. Reason being was the condition they were in and they were available locally for inspection and auditioning to check for bad drivers. -
I have a pair of 1.2 TLs and they are simply stunning to listen to. Best bass I've heard and imaging is to die for. I was very impressed with my 1Cs, but sold them after this acquisition. Proper placement and amplification and you won't be disappointed. I still have a pair of 2Bs that I love as well. As others have posted, the SDAs all sound wonderful and depending upon the room size, you can configure to suit your needs.
