Many thanks to those who recommended Denon to me in a previous post. I ordered the 1803 for $350 (incl shipping) from 6thave. The package arrived today, but it was the 1804. The invoice even said it was an 1804. I really wanted an 1804 in the first place, but not for $150 more than the 1803. I thought I would share the bargain I found with the forum, it must be similar to the others who received the newer version of a higher end model. Btw, I have 6.1 going now on Gladiator, and it kicks a$$. I still have more calibrating to due. Joy.

Have fun with that puppy. If you run into any setup problems, Dave has probably encountered every one of them recently, and could help you :D

Glad your stuff is working correctly now Dave. It was interesting to find the "resident" Denon guru, was not very helpful. Hmmm.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Your not kidding:o .... I think I've ran into just about all that could be wrong was wrong. The best advice is get out ALL owners manuals and read. All it takes is one overlook and something just won't seem right. The guys hear are the best.... They will not let you down when it come to pointing you in the right direction and of course I will too.

The Doc has been very greatious with his time, patients and recomendations towards me and I can't thank him enough. I would like to meet some of you guys one of these days.

Good luck and ask away (if you need to)

    Dave

I figured you weren't refering to the Doc and wasn't sure who you were refering to, just wanted to point out the Doc has surely (I felt) gone way out of his way both on and off the forum to help and guide me. All you guys that have helped and continue to help I sincerly thank you.
