Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -
You sent me your HOME address as well as your shipping address Chuckles. I figure it's about a 2 hour drive from here. THAT check.

Two Hours! You must be smelling a burning Marantz from your closet....or does the Shark really go that fast?CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

"The Shark" has been known to travel at "the speed of heat". The hotter I get, the faster it goes.
I do Jersey to Andrews AFB in about 2:15. Less if Baltimore isn't all jammed up.

Oh, THAT check...
I could keep you busy for hours here demoing the tubes and turntable. Should be plenty of time to make a quick exit if necessary.

I don't care for tubes OR turntables. I like powerful amps, large speakers, and getting paid. (insert smiley face thing here)

So what are your sources of choice these days?Vinyl, the final frontier...

I picked up a Sony SACD player for the He-Man stereo only rig, in addition to the Sony ES that's in there. The HT rig has an Apex dvd player, for both DVD and cd (not big on that HT stuff, never will be).
The He-Man rig also has a Thorens TD-126 Mk.III table with excellent Grado cartridge, but it doesn't get much use.
I am not a believer in "vinyl sounds better than digital". Anybody who tries to convince me otherwise regarding tubes vs solid, or digital vs vinyl, is wasting their time and breath. Grew up with vinyl (AR XA table, Shure V-15 Type III cart)) and was glad to leave the surface noise behind.

Yea,
That's what I used to think too. Once you get rid of the surface noise with the right equipment only the sound is left, and what a sound it is!
Received the package today!!!
I'll hook it up tonight and give it a spin. The check should arrive shortly, maybe a few weeks or so...
