I'm not a member over there, George. What happened? Is he OK?

Congenital heart defects-- the guy is essentially broke and asking for help so that he can get testing done-- evidently it's all out of pocket. The guys has had his chest cracked 11 times-- Tom,, now would be a good time to ask him to build you a phono for/in the MLP.JC approves....he told me so. That's a shame, George. The guy has a heart of gold. I'm tapped right now for audio funds [x-over upgrades coming mid-February] and there was an issue with the faceplate and adding the phono section. Gary and I had already talked extensively about this. I'll fill you in via the phone later this weekend if you will be around. In the meantime, has anybody set up a collection yet?

For those of you who can't view the AudioCircle post by Gary, here it is:
I want to start this by saying thank all of you again for donating last year! Without the help I have no clue to where I would be right now. Special thanks to Danny for getting it all started. Well the troubles are back.
For those of you who don't know about my troubles this is a really quick summation of them from birth to now. I think this will help you to understand what is going thru my mind right now.
I was born in April 1956, the day I popped out of mom she had reumatic fever.
I was diagnosed with severe heart problems at 5 years old and told at that time there was nothing they could do until i was 15.
In January 1970 my dad dies from a massive coronary anuerism at 39 years old!
In June of the same year my mom passed away from complications from emphasima!
In the same year I was scheduled for my 1st open heart surgery in Chicago at Cook County Hospital in August 1970.
Aunts and Uncles took care of me and my 3 sisters until we were old enough to be on our own. The also made sure that I got the surgery I needed that summer.
I got new valves, pig valves and was told they would last 10 tears and no more.
In 1985 I had to go to emergency room and had emergency surgery to replace the valves. Both the aortic and mitral valves were replaced with new ones from Hall Medtronic, the same thing these will last for 10 years and need to be changed.
After that I felt great, but had to stop doing some of the rough stuff due to the mass of the mechanical valves I could not withstand any type of fall! That stopped all of the racing stuff I did both bikes and cars.
Then last year I had the huge infection around the heart from the mold dealings and finally recovered from that about mid to late last year. Now I am in trouble again. It is known that the infection took it's toll on both of the valves.
The valves were supposed to be changed after 10 years, which would have been 1995, they have been in there for 27
years and they are saying that due to complications and surgeries since 1985 they don't think they can open my chest anymore at all. My chest has been opened up 11 times since 1970. Not much there left to work with.
Anyway heres the problem now. the small Mitral valve is locking up. It is happening only at night when I am relaxed sleeping and all vital signs slow down the valve will stop, thank god in the open position and not in the closed position,
(not yet anyway). Doctors say if it stops closed I am dead. When it stops open I jump up from sleep, run down the stairs and it gets it going again. The pain is horrible and it takes up to 4 hours to recover from it. They have ordered up some tests to see if anything what can be done without opening me up. I have to come up with $7800 bucks just to get the tests. A couple weeks ago I took all of my money from savings, personal, and business accounts and was able to pay for 1 of the tests which I will get next Tuesday. I cannot pay for the other test, no way and I can't pay any of my personal bills either. I am literally broke and have no sales or money coming in. I can't afford to be evicted from where i am now as I would have no means of getting anywhere else.
I am asking for help again and for me this is very very hard thing to do. My good friend Danny has coaxed me into doing this because he knows I wouldn't do it. This is what I want from you guys. If there is anything you might be needing or wanting I would like the opertunity to sell you exactly what your looking for. It doesn't have to be something I currently offer, but anything you really want no matter what it may be. I need the sales not only to help but to give me something to do to stay busy so I can think about something other than the problems.
Thank for listening everyone have a great day!

Fantastic news! I'd bet Gary is elated. I wish him the best of luck for a speedy and perhaps permanent recovery.

I wish him well and no ill will but the guy was a dick at the RMAS.. Maybe just a bad day, we all have them but he was a very unpleasant person.
The gear in his room sounded fantastic!! Room treatments and all.. -
Larry, are you sure it was Gary and not Danny from GR Research? He can be a little abrasive."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche
