Problems with M3 II speakers. Ideas anyone?

My buddy had a pair of relative new speakers and gave them to me when he was moving out because he said they didn't work right and needed warranty work. When I hooked them up one barely has any sound coming out and the other one works but sounds kinda wierd but not blown kind of wierd. Either way it doesn't work right. I checked and sure enough the M3II speakers have a 5 year warranty but I don't know how to get warranty info. I looked all over the site and can't find any info.
Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch.
