Here we have a very nice Technics SU V8 105w/ch integrated amp. The SU V8 was made around 1980 and is somewhat rare and does not come up for sale often. It is rated at 105 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 140 into 4 ohms. This integrated amp features Technics Synchro Bias New Class A non switching amp and it is also a dual mono amp with serate power supplies for each channel . The New Class A is much lke many others were doing at the time and is a way avoiding crossover and switching distortion. The transformers are enclosed and sit in resin for low vibration.
The unit is built like a tank and weighs 34lbs
It can drive 2 sets of speakers and headphones. It has inputs for phono 1(MM or MC) phono 2, tape 1 and 2 with dubbing , aux and tuner. Also has a record out selector input selector, phono selector, subsonic filet, high filter, -20db muting, mono /stereo, Bass, Treble and Super Bass with a choice of two turnovers (150HZ and 75HZ)
It is in excellent condtion and all function and lights work as they should The original power cord has been neatly spliced and soildered as I use a detachable cord with my gear. This is a very impressive amp Asking $250 Thanks

Always wanted me one of those. I have an 85 watt x 2 Technics New Class A, I picked up in a Thrift for almost nothing. But this has got better build quality written all over it. If I'm not mistaken it is only one down from the TOTL at that time (the SU-V9)?
These units really do sound better than they have a right to!
GLWTS!
