Time to thin the herd.

Bought these a couple of years ago. Since then they have seen limited use since I don't have a dedicated 2 channel system.

No mods, xovers 100% original. Everything functions fine but the cabinets are a bit cosmetically challenged, especially the risers. Other than that not too bad. Some minor dings & some loose veneer in a couple of spots. One of the front grills is slightly stained & one of the top hats has the fabric coming loose in a couple of spots. Each cabinet has one of the top hat grill pegs busted off, though his doesn't really affect anything. All in all minor stuff which would not be hard to fix given the time & motivation, neither of which I seem to have. I'll post pics later. The good news is that the top hat frames are not busted nor are the main grill frames.

These are for pick-up only. 19606 is my home zip & 19341 is my work zip. I'm sure we can work something out if you're in the area.

$125 & I'll throw in a spare MW 6501.

Took a bunch of photos. You know, after re-reading my initial post, I would not be a good candidate for a used car salesman. Now that I've taken photos, I think you'll see that they are really not as "ugly" as the OP made them out to be. Here are the highlights. The full lot of pics can be viewed here: http://s668.photobucket.com/albums/vv41/DaveHo/Polk%20RTA-12C/

I can't imagine there isn't anything I didn't capture, but if there is something you want a super close-up of, let me know.

Peter would like these but the drive just makes it impractical. Any chance someone is going from my area to somewhere closer to Albany NY?

Otherwise they are still for sale.

Somebody buy these - it would be bordering on criminal to part them out! :loneranger:

Fantastic speakers at a great price!

I agree...somebody needs to buy these.

I was interested and would have bought them myself but the drive to pick them up was just a bit too far for me -
about 9 hours r/t from where I live.

I've gotten a couple of inquiries about the cost if I part them out. I'm not ready to do that at this time. Sorry if I was misleading in my previous post. I posted that as a tongue-in-check sort of bump more than anything.

Wow, just wow. I understand about location and such but $125, in such seemingly great shape and no takers? I'd drive 3+ hours to get these but I'm farther than pglbook. Always a Polk model I've wanted to try out so guess I'm biased. If I were you I'd store them before parting them out, that's just me...

    I drove 8 hours r/t to buy my 2.3TL's - what's another 30 min each way

These were the last polk speakers my dad owned before he abandoned the hobby for more important responsibilities.. I've always wanted to get him another pair. But they never pop up locally.. Any ways. Goodluck on the sale. Hopefully some will pop up someday. Maybe even with the peerless..
