Setting up 5.1 system w/RT10s
-Hello. I have a pair of RT10's and a PSW350 I have loved for years in stereo. I'm upgrading to 5.1 and want to get the best match for my RT10's. Polk's Vintage site recommends CS400i or CS245i center and F/X500i or F/X300i surrounds. Finding these is difficult and knowing what you're buying is a crap-shoot so, any other RT10 owners willing to share your systems and secrets using more current Polk products?
-I'm also wondering about the dipole F/X's. My room configuration is a tough one. It's been great in stereo, but the surrounds will be the problem. We watch/listen from a loveseat with walls next to and behind the left end, so that speaker would be almost overhead, and the other speaker would be about 7-8' from the right seat. It wouldn't be bad for the right seat (mine...She gets the end-table) but the left seat will be far from perfect. If it was up to me I'd just move the couch over, block the opening, and make people walk around, but I hear it's NOT... Anyone have any experience with dipoles in a corner? Any muffling or reflection issues? I guess I could mess with how they're angled but only after I own them. Thanks!
