Feeler to sell my adcom gear

This is killin me one way, but only on that, "You are just sellin audio gear" level, it could be a lot worse.
Because of financial need, i am looking to sell my dearly loved, slow to assemble adcom stack.
It consists of
GFP750 purchased here, in perfect working cond. i guess it would be 8-10 appearance wise, certainly nothing major to most folks, chris's pics from the sale to me can be viewed here, its in the same cond.
This model has a problem with the remote, the volume can take off and go to max or min. when you are just trying to bump it up a bit.
I have found a post or two on the net about the same prob., let me reassure you, it is the remote, not the pre.
I assume a universal would work fine, but its that, assumption, as i have never used one, and my direct remotes codes dont control this pre.
It has not been a problem, all other functions work fine, and it has not been a big deal to get up and change the volume.otherwise has been a perfect pre and im glad we were able to have it.
GFA 555, I bought this from the original owner, an older british guy who builds his own speaks, pres and amps from kits and only listens to classical and jazz, one of those kind of guys.
I dont believe its ever been abused, and has performed flawlessly for us since last summer.
GCD 700 5 disk cd player, same nice appearance, and great performance as others.
Prices are.
GFP750-- 600 dollars plus ship.
GFA 555 300 plus ship.
GCD 700 100 plus ship.
Prices are pretty firm, and i think reasonable, this has been great gear to own, and never thought i would sell.
There are two stipulations, I am awaiting a response from jon concerning my turn with the demo 703s, depending on his response, this may not be shipped for a couple weeks, but usually it takes a week or so to receive a money order and ship them anyway, so not really a biggie.
Secondly, im giving travis, TNHANDYMAN first dibs on all this gear, so any responses will be taken with that in mind.
More pics for serious partys, shipping will be from 30555, you can get a pretty good idea on your shipping costs, the size and weights are commonly available online.
dont mean to seem lazy, but im not very good at doing that, you will probably be better.
Local preferred, but first come first served, and money order cashiers check with 3 day wait after receipt by me.
All sold as-is, but no problems with any of these while we have had them
My rega rp1 that is barely broken in will be available in a separate ad.

Scotty-
I'm having all kinds of pre amp probs at the moment but don't think I can do a cash buy right now. I'll try to call you tonight if I get free time from Danica or while she's at school tomorrow 9-1230. Sorry you need to sell. Understand it's difficult.
ON the 703's, Conradicles has them boxed up ready to go. Not sure if you could contact him or Jon to approve shipping. Polk may still be doing shipping labels but if not you may be able to work something out with paying Eric to ship them to you. If yoiu can't get ahold of him, I have his contact info and can try to get the ball rolling.
Talk to you soon.

Good luck! That is a killer price on the pre, it shouldn't last long. I haven't decided if I'm going to to much audio related this year, otherwise I would be all over it. I've wanted to roll one of those 750's through the system. Hopefully you'll get a chance to demo the 703's with that adcom gear. GLWTS, I hope things look up for you.

Sorry to hear of the financial hardship Scotty that's causing you to sell. I've been down that road and am slowly recovering to this day. Best thoughts for rectifying that.
With saying that, I really REALLY want to get my hands on that pre. Certainly can't afford it but that's the best price I've seen for one of those. The GFA-555 is also a bargain. -
Hell the GCD 700 is KILLER also!
I bought one recently, and I love it!
Killer price on a GREAT cdp!
I hate to hear about your hardships.
It will get better, and there is no shortage of good audio equipment, so you can always take a nose dive in the "hole" latter on.

Scotty,
Definately interested in the pre. We might have to do some trading and I'll think about your pm offer. Might be able to keep you in tunes and help with bath but timing is always problematic trying to find babysitting help to get away for a day or two. I DO appreciate you giving me first dibs. At this point I'm only thinking of the pre so let any other buyers step up for the amp and cd player.2-ch System: Parasound P/LD 2000 pre, Parasound HCA-1000 amp, Parasound T/DQ Tuner, Phase Technology PC-100 Tower speakers, Technics SL-1600 Turntable, Denon 2910 SACD/CD player, Peachtree DAC iT and X1asynchorus USB converter, HSU VTF-3 subwoofer. -
I *may* be interested in the amp.
I have a couple of irons in the fire atm but will know for sure by this weekend if they fall through."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

Scotty tried to call you earlier.
Guys I don't think I'm going to be able to have a go at the 750 pre so any of you wanting to get a great deal please respond to the thread and pm scott.

So, all pieces have been spoken for, waiting for jon s to get the demos to us, cant think of a better way to finish up with this setup, after a couple weeks at most with the 703s, we will wrap up all deals and ship the gear.humpty dumpty was pushed -
Sounds good Scotty. Sort of bittersweet really. Glad I am scoring a 2 channel upgrade but sucks you have to sell off for now."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."
