I'm trying to get an American Bulldog puppy. Does anyone know of any reputable breeders? I'm in Ohio, but I'd be willing to talk to anyone.

In case you've never heard of or seen an American Bulldog, imagine a 110 lb. Boxer.

Nice. Your APBT is very cool. Good looking dog.

My girlfriend & I have decided on the American Bulldog. We want a big dog, at least 80 lbs.

As far as papers, I do want papers, but I don't need a show quality dog, just pet quality. I just want the dog as a pet, I won't do those dog shows, or those weight pulling contests.

Your Pit Bull is 83 lbs? Holy Cow, I didn't know they got that big. I thought they only got up to like 40-50 lbs.

I've searched around the Internet for breeders in Ohio. I found a listing for breeders in Ohio. I called about 15 people, and 2 called me back. 2 for Pete's sake. It seems to be very hard to get ahold of these people. They must be chasing their dogs around.

When I said "we" decided on the American Bulldog, I should have really said my girlfriend decided.... You know how that goes. Trying to change her mind is like farting in the wind, pointless....

Don't get me wrong, I'm totally cool with getting the AB, but it has been a pain in the **** trying to get one.

You know what they had at the pet store? Minature Pinchers. It was so funny. It looked like a regular Doberman, only smaller. Much smaller.

    Yeah. thats how it goes.

BTW Do some research on the breeder if at all possible. I read a few articles in Bully Breeds Mag about poor breeding. Wouldnt know you had a poor breed puppy(ies) till they get older. All in all the terrier groups of dogs are great! Except the BT. :)

she is a real handful. Her name is Bijou (pronounced Bee-jou).

She has started to get real brave. She jumped of the bed this morning, paratrooper style. Kind of funny. She walked up to the edge of the bed, started squirming & crying, then turned around and looked at me & jumped of the bed backwards.
